Royal Enfield has been planning on launching new motorcycles in upcoming days. These coming bikes will be powered by the twin cylinder, and more powerful engines. One such larger cc Royal Enfield motorcycle was spied earlier this year.
Economic Times reveals that Acc to Mr. Siddhartha Lal, CEO of Royal Enfield has confirmed that they will launch a completely new series of motorcycle this financial year(March 2017). Currently, Royal Enfield manufactures 350cc & 500cc engines motorcycles. The launch of this new RE would increase the heartbeat of the bike enthusiasts in India. Royal Enfield aims at a fight with Harley-Davidson Street motorcycle with the launch of new motorcycles.
Spy shots reveal that showed it being tested on the roads, Which is the bike is based on a modified RE Continental GT chassis. The 750cc engine is rumoured to be powered by a power of 43-50 Bhp & a peak torque of more than 62 Nm. According to Previous reports that, The company is also working on a 400cc engine,churn out Peak torque of 40Nm.The company is also planning for all new 600-650cc motorcycle too. Which all bikes will be designed & developed for global markets such as the US & the UK. The company is also investing huge money in R&D. Royal Enfield in its third plant is investing Rs.600 crores in FY-17 in Vallam Vadagal, UK tech centre.
Royal Enfield motorcycles shares have been grown exponentially over the years. The Royal Enfield is also investing heavily to get a new production line ready to meet the increasing demand in the markets.
Royal Enfield motorcycles had planned to give tough competition to the motorcycles likes of Harley Davidson, Ducati, Triumph, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda superbikes in the country with high sale rate. So in order to keep pace with the growing market, it is planning to increase their number of variants & compete with the best in business.
