Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) is planning to expand it’s global footprint in the two wheeler industry. Mahindra has just bought the iconic British Motorcycle Maker BSA called Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) has just reports the move & they official announced it. Mahindra & Mahindra had made a deal for Rs. 28 Crores.
BSA was founded in early 1900’s & the Norton’s origin back to 1898. Since the 1970’s, the BSA has been non functioning. Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) has been planning to buy Norton also,which is another British motorcycle brands.
Norton was revived by a UK business-man in 2008. Norton is now manufacturing low volume retro classic motorcycles. Mahindra has acquired all the 1.2lakh shares of BSA motorcycles at 28.33 Pounds per share. Mahindra will have another European brand under its depository/portfolio. BSA already being present in UK, USA, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico & Canada.
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) owns 76.06% of takes in the Italian Design house & the Pininfarina deal of $28Million in 2015. Except for these European brandssuch as BSA, Pininfarina & Peugeot two-wheelers. Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) has also acquired the Korean car maker SsanYong,two-wheeler brand SYM and Reva Electric Car Company.
