India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd, has delivered 13 motorcycles to its customers who have been waiting for more than 6 months. After company’s authorized dealer (now closed) SNK Kawasaki at Palm Beach, Navi Mumbai took the money & never delivered the bikes.
The dealership was discontinued on September 2, 2016, as SNK failed to deliver the bikes to the customers.
The Japanese bike maker called the Mumbai-based customers to Pune for the special event to deliver the new motorcycles. The motorcycles are of price ₹ 8-16 lakh. Which includes the bikes likes nine-Kawasaki Z800’s, two-Kawasaki ZX10R’s, one-Kawasaki Ninja 1000 & one-Kawasaki Versys 1000. Early of this year when customers complained of SNK Palm Beach dealership is not delivering the bikes on the promised date to the customers. India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd (IKM) was informed that SNK Palm Beach dealership had been collecting money from customers for motorcycles without placing orders with India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd,(IKM). When SNK realised that they couldn’t deliver the motorcycles to the customers on time. In fact, customers who opted to pay via loans also had EMI’s being deducted, but the Motorcycle is not being handed over yet to cusomers.
A notice was also sent by Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd to the SNK dealer in hopes of settling the problem by either deliver the 13 motorcycles or by return the money with interest, by August 31, 2016. However, the dealership failed comply with the same.
In the meantime, India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd (IKM) is reportedly working on setting up a new dealership in Mumbai. The complete incident also affected Kawasaki’s sales in the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai region. The dealership closed by SNK Palm Beach, the company has temporarily diverted Mumbai’s customers to outlets in Surat and Pune.
