India To Become Largest Market For KTM, which is part owned by the homegrown Bajaj Auto. Last year, India was the 2nd highest seller of KTM about 36,000 units were sold, which is just 1,000 units behind the United State.
KTM entered Indian market just 5 years ago, and become the 2nd largest seller in India last year by 1000 units less than the US. With a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 48% for the last 5 years, KTM expects India to uncrown the US to become its top largest marketplace by selling 50,000 unit this year.
KTM recently launched Duke 200 at Rs 1.43 lakh, Duke 250 at Rs 1.73 lakh and Duke 390 at Rs 2.25 lakh. (Ex-showroom, New Delhi)
In India, the 250-500cc segment is growing at 57% with a current market of 6.3 lakh units per year.
KTM also recorded 1.14 billion Euros in revenue and they are planning to increase their dealerships to 500 by 2018.
