source Earlier in May, Hero MotoCorp recently axed 3 of its models such as Splendor iSmart, Splendor Pro Classic and the HF Dawn from its line-up. Now company have been listed some slow selling models and they have stopped the production of these bikes such as Karizma R, Xtreme, Hunk, Old Glamour Fi, Ignitor, Passion X Pro and Passion Pro TR and removed the respective models from its official website. It is rumored that they launch BSIV versions of these motorcycles soon this year.
Among the 13 motorcycles from its current line-up, only the Splendor, HF Deluxe, Glamour, Passion and scooters such as Duet, Maestro & Pleasure are doing well. At current trend in the Indian markets being scooterisation and premiumisation. But Hero is still missing out on the premiumisation other than Karizma ZMR, Hero does not have any other premium motorcycle in its portfolio.
At the Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp had showcased the Hastur, HX 250R and the Xtreme 200S. Which was a performance naked street bike, It is not clear whether Hero is working towards launching this product in the future or not. But Xtreme 200S is expected in the next year but HX 250R will make it to India.
