TVS has just launched an ethanol-powered Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 is Priced at Rs 1.20 lakh. Which is Rs 9,000 more expensive than the petrol-powered apache 200 4V. First showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, the ethanol-powered Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 is essentially the same as the regular Apache, apart from the fuel it uses and the mechanical changes required to use the same.
The Ethanol-powered 2019 TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 cannot run on regular petrol. In effect, while you can buy the bike, the fuel to run it on is not available at the moment.
Ethanol fuel is produced by the sugar fermentation process. which includes crops like corn, maize and wheat – plants that grow well in our country. Ethanol is also biodegradable and low in toxicity. The Ethanol combustion is of lesser nitrogen and carbon monoxide emissions which is are far lesser than that of burning fossil fuels. Ethanol doesn’t produce as much energy as petrol when it burns (approximately 34 percent less energy per unit volume). The Ethanol-powered vehicles will also reduce the cost of importing fossil fuels.

The Ethanol-powered 2019 TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 single-cylinder, engine which has a power output of 20.7 bhp @ 8500 rpm and peak torque of 18.1 Nm @ 7000 rpm. The Ethanol-powered 2019 TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 gets electronic fuel injection with twin-spray-twin-port system. TVS claims a top speed of 129 km/h.

There are no ethanol pumps in the country. When fuel station opens, a litre of ethanol costs between Rs 52-55.

TVS has revealed that Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 will initially be available only in Karnataka Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
