Bajaj Kratos VS400 will be the new name of Bajaj pulsar VS400.
As all of us know that BAJAJ is trying creating a new power cruiser lineup in their motorcycles. But they have opted for creating a brand rather than using ‘Pulsar ‘ which has been star brand of Bajaj from nearly 15 years, Or using their cruiser class branding of ‘Avenger’.
It’s an new brand Bajaj Kratos and it’s first motorcycle will be VS 400. For all those videos game lover you might heard the name Kratos as the ‘Ghost of Spartan’ in the video game series ‘God of War’ which is said to have loosely based on the Greek mythology. But Bajaj is naming the new bike Kratos VS400 only and only because of the shear power that will be produced by the duke 390 engine that is under the hood of Kratos vs 400.
From the recent moves of Bajaj it’s clear that they are coming up with a power cruiser that will be taking on the Royal Enfield’s motorcycles in the market.
Royal Enfield has been a leading the cruiser class for many years and Bajaj has already taken them on with the their entry level cruiser class Avenger. But now they target on the major market of the Royal Enfield that is bikes above 300cc.
Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, who said that a 400cc Pulsar makes as much sense as a 150 cc Royal Enfield. he did not confirmed the launch date,but he reveled the month of release.
The Kratos VS 400 will share the engine that as duke 390.The Bajaj Kratos VS400 will powered by KTM Duke 390 engine . The 373.27 cc,single cylinder,were it will churns out 34.50 Bhp on the Bajaj Kratos VS400, and will meshed with with a 6-speed transmission and a slipper-clutch.
