It seems that Indian government has gotten serious towards the safety of fellow bikers.
Recently government had made compulsion of ABS and CBS for the upcoming motorcycles. Now government decided to make Automatic Headlight On (AHO) compulsory . And already some manufacturers like KTM and Kawasaki are implementing these rules in their new bike models . There might be few questions in your mind thinking.
What is Automatic Headlight On (AHO) ?
Actually Automatic Headlight On (AHO) means the control of the headlight is not manual it’ll be controlled automatically with respect to the ignition. If the ignition is ON then headlight will be ON. If the ignition is OFF then headlight will be OFF.
What will change ?
Upcoming bikes will be updated with AHO and the head light will also glow all the time whenever the ignition is on. and you won’t be able to control the head light of bike.
Precisely you won’t have a headlamp ON/OFF button on your next bike !
Will it be of any good?
Considering the exponential increase in the accidents of the motorcycles, it might do the trick. Stats and studies show that having the headlight on a daytime running light could improve the vision and concentration of the drivers or riders so it might reduce the number of accidents. in foggy areas and rainy season it might be an extra knot in safety bind.
