In 2018’s Auto Expo, Aprilia had announced that it would be launching two premium 150cc bikes named the Tuono 150 and RS 150. The bikes will be produced at the company plant in Piaggio’s Baramati plant. The spy shot you see above is of a production-ready variant which looks different from Euro-spec bike at the Aprilia pavilion at the 2018 Auto Expo. Another possible option is that Aprilia RS 150 will be imported as CKD from China, and assemble it at their plant
The Aprilia RS 150 and SR Max 300 showcased at a dealer meet held in Goa earlier this week.
Aprilia RS 150 specifications
150cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine powered by 18 hp power at 10,000 rpm and 14 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm mated to a 6-speed transmission. Aprilia RS 150 gets 300mm at the front and 208mm at the rear disc brake with standard Dual channel ABS with. Upside down forks will be offered as standard. The bike gets a large perimeter frame, aluminium swingarm and upside down forks. Gets new decals and bodywork.
Aprilia SR Max 300 specifications
Aprilia SR Max 300 is called as a racing scooter for grand touring. Aprilia SR Max 300 is powered by 278cc, single-cylinder, a fuel-injected motor that makes 22hp and 23Nm of torque. The Aprilia SR Max 300 also features a large windscreen, adjustable-preload rear suspension, and wide seats.
Launch price is expected to be in the Rs 1.6 lakhs (ex-showroom). There are no confirmations from any Aprilia India officials at this point. But, Piaggio representatives revealed that the launch of the Aprilia RS 150 has been pushed to 2020.
